October 26, 1981
The adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba LindaCounty
Water District was called to order by President Knauft at 7:10 p.m. in the District
offices on Plumosa. Directors Knauft, Lindow, Clodt, Korn and Cromwell were pre-
sent. Also present Ralph Shook general manager, Bill Robertson project manager,
Betty Emblidge auditor, Jean Mathews secretary and Art Kidman attorney.
Art Kidman attorney reported on the bond sale schedule and his meeting with the
principals, Mr. McQuarie, Mr. Prestinary, attorneys Alex Bowie and Bill Wright.
The agreement arrived at , the Bond Sale should be put off calendar for the
time being. Art did say that the above group volunteered their help in talking
to developers in ID#1 regarding the tax matters.
Art Kidman also suggested that the Supervisor from this District should be brief-
ed on the District's position in the tax matters under discussion.
Ralph Shook reported that he had talked to Mr. Constantine and the ad hoc comm-
ittee meeting had been set for 9:a.m. Friday morning at the District Library and
that he and Art Korn and Roy Knauft would be on hand for the meeting.
Discussion regarding an information packet to be mailed to all residents of the
entire water district. Information reviewed.
John Lewis has been contacted by Mr. Constantine and will be at the Friday
meeting. Discussion on material required for the Friday meeting. The one idea
that our committee wanted to express was their willingness to work with the tax
payers and try to solve the problems to the best of their ability.
A rather lengthy discussion of the material to be contained in the packet to
home owners continued for another half hour.
Moved by Director Lindow seconded by Director Clodt to approve check # 12949 in
the amount of $2500.00 for Permit # 10 first class mailing, motion carried.
Moved by Director Cromwell seconded by Director Clodt to adjourn to 7:00 p.m.
October 27, 1981. Motion carried meeting over at 9:30 p.m.
