September 4, 1980
The adjourned board meeting of the Yorba Linda County Water District was called
to order by President Knauft at 7:20 p.m. September 4, 1980 in the offices of
the District. Directors present: M. Roy Knauft, Art Korn, Howard Lindow and Whit
Cromwell. Director Fred Clodt absent. Also present Ralph Shook general manager,
Jean Mathews secretary, Art Kidman attorney, Mike Payne engineering manager, Bill
Robertson project manager and Sam Peterson engineer.
The purpose of the adjourned board meeting was a work session to review and
discuss the N.O.C.C.C.D. property. This District had received a letter from
the City of Yorba Linda asking for annexation of 125 acres to be used as a golf
course. General manager had issued a memo regarding a meeting with N.O.C.C.C.D.
on September 11th, the discussion and some thoughts regarding water and sewer
service to the College property. Discussion.
Attorney Kidman said that it was possible to annex the property to Improvement
District No. 1 and to our District at the same time but it could not be annexed
to the Improvement District No. 1 at a later date.
Ralph Shook pointed out on a map received from the City the areas set aside for
housing, the Continued Education Center and the Golf Course. Some discussion
regarding availability of water and sewer to the property.
Several questions that must be answered before any decisions can be made.
Sam Peterson to do further sewer study for this area and report back to the Board
hopefully by the next meeting.
Attorney and Mr. Shook to answer the letter from the City regarding annexation.
Attorney to make a list as he interperts the discussion here tonit of terms and
conditions and means of implementing them.
Moved by Director Lindow seconded by Director Korn to adjourn to 7:00 p.m.
September 10th, 1980. Motion carried.
