HomeMy WebLinkAbout2022-07-12 - Resolution No. 2022-23RESOLUTION NO. 2022-23 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT RATIFYING AMENDMENTS TO THE BUDGETED POSITIONS FOR THE REMAINDER OF FISCAL YEAR 2021-22 AND FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022-23 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors previously adopted a budget for Fiscal Year 2021-22 on May 11, 2021, and a budget for Fiscal Year 2022-23 on May 24, 2022; and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors is required to ratify the budgeted positions for each fiscal year in compliance with California Code of Regulations (CCR) Section 570.5 and the Public Employees' Retirement Law (PERL); and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors previously adopted Resolution No. 2021-12 on May 11, 2021 ratifying the budgeted positions for Fiscal Year 2021-22, and adopted Resolution No. 2022-12 on May 24, 2022 ratifying the budgeted positions for Fiscal Year 2022-23; and WHEREAS, the Interim General Manager has authorized amendments to the budgeted positions for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2021-22 and for Fiscal Year 2022- 23; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to ratify these amendments as authorized by the Interim General Manager. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda Water District as follows: Section 1. Effective June 27, 2022, the budgeted positions for Fiscal Year 2021-22 as adopted by Resolution No. 2021-12 are hereby amended as set forth in Exhibit A and attached hereto. Section 2. Effective July 1, 2022, the budgeted positions for Fiscal Year 2022-23 as adopted by Resolution No. 2022-12 are hereby amended as set forth in Exhibit B and attached hereto. Section 3. Reaffirm that the General Manager or Interim General Manager is hereby authorized to employ up to the number of employees budgeted and funded in each fiscal year without further approval of the Board of Directors. Resolution No. 2022-23 Ratifying Amendments to tfie Budgeted Positions for Remainder of FY21-22 and FY22-23 Section 4. Reaffirm that the General Manager or Interim General Manager is hereby authorized while this Resolution is active to fill a budgeted position that is vacated with a new employee at a lower or equal classification and/or with a part-time employee or contract staff. The General Manager or Interim General Manager is further authorized to fix and alter the compensation of employees subject to budget limitations.
