April 25, 1974
The regular meeting of the Board of Directors was
President Hastings at 8:30 a.m. in the offices of
Plumosa Drive.
Directors present and answering the roll: Hasting
Wagner and Knauft. Also present, general manager
operations manager P.D. Rcyere and secretary Jean
called to order by
the District on
s, Clodt, Lindow
Ralph Shook,
Mathews.
Moved by DirectorWagner seconded by Director Knauft to approve the
minutes for April 11, 1974 as mailed. Motion carried unanimously.
SAWPA public hearing May 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
on Vista Del Rio in Anaheim regarding the Santa Ana Regional
Inceptor.
Letter read from auditors Hanson Peterson Cowles and Sylvester
dated 4/24/74 by Mr. Shook. Discussion.
Attorney Howell arrived at 8:50 a.m.
Rex Hastings reported on the City Council meeting April 15, 1974.
Roy Knauft reported there was a planning commission meeting but
nothing of importance to water district so he did not attend. He
did report however that the City was contemplating a tax rate.
Roy Knauft reported on the AWWA spring conference 4/ 17-19 at Reno.

Attorney Howell said he had no further comment from either Husband
or Lowry or H.D.R. on the sewer refunds.
Attorney read a rough draft of a letter to McKervey regarding ex-
tension of time 120 days but the increased labor costs he felt
were not justified. Discussion - Board agreed that the extension
of time on the Contract was agreeable but not an increase in costs
because of new labor contracts. Attorney to write the letter.
Moved by Director Knauft seconded by Director Lindow to approve
for payment the audited bills and rate deposits in the amount of
$79,544.46 on checks 24896 through 24965. Motion carried un-
animously.
Moved by Director Clodt seconded by Director Wagner to allow all
Directors to leave the state between this meeting and the next
regular meeting of the Board for either business or personal reasons.
Motion carried unanimously.
General Manager Shook reported that he had written the IRS in
Washington D.C. requesting a ruling on the tax consequences of
the District's Deferred Compensation Plan.
He also reported that P.D. Royere was giving a talk to the Yorba
Linda Junior High School on utilities May 9 for career day.

Ralph Shook reported that Whit Cromwell had asked if the basement
here at the District could be used for senior citizens group. No
action taken information only.
Mr. Shook noted that the electric bill from Anaheim was as high or
higher than Edison because of rate increases.
He also reported that a change to gas engine would figure out as
paid off in two years.
A letter from Environment Data Research regarding the Dominguez
Ranch. An answer just stating that this District can furnish
sewer and water and that it is within our sphere of influence.
Assignment of city meetings: May 6 city council Mr. Lindow,
May 20 city council Rex Hastings, May 13 planning commission Fred
Clodt, May 28 planning commission Roy Knauft.
Moved by Director Clodt seconded by Director Lindow to adjourn
at 11:30 a.m. Motion carried.
