January 7, 1970
A special meeting of the Board of Directors was called to order
by President McGuire at 8:00 a.m. in the offices of the District
on January 7, 1970. Directors present and answering the roll:
McGuire, Hastings, Clodt, Wagner and Knauft. Attorney for the
District, Rodger Howell and City Administrator Darrel Dalton
were also present.
Purpose of this meeting to reach an agreement with Schmid Dev-
elopment, Inc. re annexation of portion of Kraemer ranch and
subsequent water service to the property.
Discussion regarding time schedule for construction on water
facilities to serve Kraemer property. Tentative water construc-
tion schedule from Montgomery Engineers indicated advertising for
bid by mid February, award of contract March 11 and initial water
delivery by April 8th with final completion of transmission lines
by May 8. This will be by a very direct route with no duplication
of facilities with a reservoir to be constructed on or near the
Junior College property at the proper elevation as soon as the
engineering is completed and the necessary site acquired.
Mr. Lew Schmid and Jeff Millett his engineer and Jimmie Brock,
reporter from the Register entered the meeting at this time.
Mr. Schmid asked the directors to go over with him the items as
listed in the ig:kky i=mxk letter from the City to Schmid Develop-
ment dated January 6, 1970. Item one - no change. Item 2. Water
line to be provided by the District to end at north east corner or
intersection of Fairmont and "All Drive. Contractor estimated time
to start preliminary grading March 1. Jeff Millett stated he had
topo maps of the area and also had the survey of the same area, if
it would help and save time the District was welcome to the
material. Item 3. - no change. Item 4 - no change. Item 5- no change.

Repayment agreement to Developer or assignee ( assignee added).
Board asked about easement from Developer - agreed by Developer
to give any needed easements.
District now requires a letter from the Developer requesting
annexation to the District.
Moved by Director Hastings seconded by Director Wagner carried
unanimously approving the agreement (letter) as outlined, proceed
with the filing of the annexation which will be completed when
water is delivered to the tract by the District.
