Home My WebLink About2023-08-03 - Resolution No. 2023-23RESOLUTION NO. 2023-23 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT RATIFYING THE BUDGETED POSITIONS, AND THE JOB CLASSIFICATIONS AND SALARY SCHEDULE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors adopts a budget on an annual basis; and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors is required to ratify the budgeted positions, and the job classifications and salary schedule for each fiscal year in compliance with California Code of Regulations (CCR) Section 570.5 and the Public Employees' Retirement Low (PERL); and WHEREAS, on May 18, 2023 the Board of Directors received and filed the Fiscal Year 2022-23 Compensation Study prepared by Kotf and Associates (a Gallagher company) and directed the placement of all employees at the market median as set forth in the Total Compensation Study Final Report doted March 20, 2023, effective July 1, 2023. WHEREAS, the Board of Directors determined that no position classifications shall be Y-rated; and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has also determined that a full classification and compensation study shall be conducted and completed by January 1 , 2025. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda Water District as follows: Section 1. Effective July 1, 2023, the Budgeted Positions, and the Job Classifications and Salary Schedule for Fiscal Year 2024 is hereby ratified as attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. Section 2. Reaffirm that the General Manager is hereby authorized to employ up to the number of employees budgeted and funded in each fiscal year without further approval of the Board of Directors. Section 3. Reaffirm that the General Manager is hereby authorized while this Resolution is active to fill a budgeted position that is vacated with a new employee at a lower or equal classification and/or with a part- Resolution No. 2023-23 Ratifying the Budgeted Positions, Job Classifications and Salary Schedule for Fiscal Year 2024 time employee or contract stott. Ttie General Manager is turttner auttiorized to tlx and alter ttie compensation of employees subject to budget limitations. Section 4. Effective July 1, 2023 Resolution Nos. 2022-12, 2022-23, and 2023-06 are liereby rescinded.
