July 22, 1964
An adjourned meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda
County Water Districtwa.s convened at the office of the District
at the hour of 8:30 A.M.. July 22, 1964 by President Wagner.
All Directors were present and answered the roll call. Also present
was H. Rodger Howell, Attorney for the District.
The General Manager reported that the trouble encountered in No. 1
wel3 appeared at this time to be mostly in the column and tube and
that these would need to be replaced. Mr. Shook also reported
that there would be°a T.V. inspection of the.well casing, on July
23 to determine if there was any major trouble with the casing or
the perforations.
Job 345 x- Pursuant to Sec. 7.6 of the rules and regulations the
proposed water service facilities as shown on Exhibit No. "All
were examined. It was moved by Director McGuire seconded by
Director Hastings and carried that the proposed facilities be
approved-as conforming to the rules and regulations with no ex.
ceptions.
Job 346 - Pursuant to Sec. 7.6 of the rules and regulations the

Director McGuire and carried that the proposed facilities be
approved as conforming to the rules and regulations with no
exceptions,
Job 321 - Reviewed: After discussion a motion was made by
Director Hastings, seconded by Director McGuire and carried
that the applicant be required to deposit 1/3 the cost of installing
a fire hydrant.
A letter of interest from Shirk Realty was read concerning Tract 4672
offering deposits of $25,905.00 plus $4,200.00 from escrow for
construction of sewer trunks for this tract. It was agreed that
the intent was good and that the General Manager should proceed with
negotiations.
Mr. Milo Keith of Lowry and Associates entered the meeting and ex-
plained the application of the 1911 Improvement Act to an area in-
cluding Main Street and a certain portion of the townsite for
sewerage construction. A thorough discussion was held and the matter
was deferred to alater date in order to possibly obtain more sig-
natures to the petitions being circulated.
On a motion made by Director Hastings, seconded by Director Clodt
and carried audited bills against the District were authorized for

payment as follows:
Accounts Payable $39,458...32
Rate Deposit Refunds 933A.67
Misc. Refunds 1,321.96
Mr. Shook reported on a meeting with Brea City Officials and Attorneys
on July 16, 1964, for both the City and the Yorba Linda County Water
District in an attempt to negotiate the question of jurisdiction for
water service for Tract 4547. A letter was read from Mr. Erickson,
attorney for the District outlining the alternative solutions for
the problem. A general discussion `was held resulting in an agreement
that another meeting should be held with Brea officials with the
District Board of Directors present, °
A motion was made by Director Clodt, seconded by Director Hastings
and carried that District Directors were hereby authorized to leave
the State of California either for business or personal reasons
between now and the next regular meeting of the Board of Directors.
There being no further business the meeting was declared adjourned
on a motion._made by Director Hastings, seconded by Director Clodt
and carried. /
