December 23, 1964
An adjourned meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda
County Water District was called to order at the office of the
District by President Wagner at the hour of 8:30 A.M. December 23,
1964.
Answering the roll call were Directors Wagner, Milmoe, McGuire,
Clodt and Hastings. Also present was H. Rodger Howell, Attorney
for the District.
Job 270 - Letters were read from the Metropolitian Water District
and Orange County Municipal Water District acknowledging the re-
ceipt of the necessary resolutions and engineering design to-permit
progress on the Metropolitian Water District connection No. O.C.-
51, North of Yorba Linda.
J-375: A letter was received from Mr. Norman Lombard of North
Rose Drive protesting payment of a portion of the cost of a fire
hydrant without assurance that the hydrant would be installed.
The matter was referred back to the staff for further study.
S-82: A letter was received from Placentia Unified School District
requesting sewer service without water service for a school on
Orchard Drive, outside of the District. After discussion, the _
petition was referred to the staff for further study.
S-374: AFdiscussion was held concerning wholesaling of sewer _
service to Placentia for a tract on Palm Drive, West of Carbon
Creek. It was agreed that the General Manager should communicate
to the City of Placentia the.desire of the District to reach a _
mutual agreement for service in this area.
Job 380 - Pursuant to Sec. 7.6 of the rules and regulations the
proposed water service facilities as shown on Exhibit No. A, B
and C were examined. It was moved by Director 'ilmoe, seconded _
by Director Hastngs and carried that the proposed facilities be _
approved.as conforming to the rules and regulations with no ex-
ceptions. _
Job 381 » Pursuant to Sec. 7.6 of the rules and regulations the
proposed water service facilities as shown on Exhibit No. A were
examined. It was moved by Director McGuire, seconded by Director
Hastings and carried that the proposed facilities be approved as
conforming to the rules and rgulations with no exceptions.

Attorney Dowell reported that the City of Brea seemed determined
to take the matter of water service for Tract 4547 to the Supreme
Court rather than yield. It was agreed that further evaluation
should be made of the problem.
A discussion was held concerning an early closing of all depart-
ments of.the`District for Christmas Eve. A motion was made by
Director Hastings, seconded by Director Milmoe that the General
Manager be authorized to close the business Christmas :eve at his
discretion.
Job 5-227. An appraisal of the value of land involved for rights
of way for this job was received in the amount of $2,200.00. A
motion was made by Director Clodt, seconded by Director Hastings
and carried that this evaluation be approved and a sum paid not
to exceed $2,200.00. _
Mr. Korn, presented the following itemized statement of the account-
ing for distribution of Sewer Trust Fundsfor the year ending Decembr
1, 1964 in the amount of $124,189.43 :

After discussion and explanation, a motion was made by Director
Milmoe, seconded by Director Hastings°and unanimously carried
that the proper sums be paid December 31, 1964 to the participants
in the fund or their assignees except in cases noted where there-
is litigation or disagreement as to the distributions in which
case the funds shall be held in the Trust Fund until agreement is
reached and that the the sum of $250.00 be deducted for legal and
other expenses from the account of the Developers Improvement
Associattgn,Inc.
A motion,by Director MQ Guire, sedonded'by Director Clodt stated
that the.-Directors of the District be authorized to leave the
State either for business or personal reasons between now and -
the next.regular meeting of the Board of Directors.
There being no further business the meeting was declared ad- _
journed on a motion made by`Director McGuire, secon d by Director
Hastings.and duly carried.
