Section l5.0-The following days shall be recognized as holidays;
and regular, full-time employees in the classified service, with
the exception of employees in those job classes listed in Section
15.3, shall have these holidays off with pay:
(a) January 1st, New Year's Day
(b) The third Monday in February, Washington's Birthday.
(c) The last Monday in May, Memorial Day.
(d) July 4th, Independence Day.
(e) First Monday in September, Labor Day.
(f) Fourth Monday in October, Veteran's Day.
(g) December 25th, Christmas Day.
(h) Every day appointed by the nresident or Governor for a
public fast, thanksgiving or holiday.
The Friday following the Thurs.-lay appointed as Thanks-
giving Day shall also be celebrated as a holiday.
(i) Good Friday from 12 noon.
Section 15.1-The General Manager, the Secretary and the Auditor
shall also be given the above holidays off with pay.
Section 15,.2-In the event that any of the above holidays fall on
an employee's scheduled day off, the following scheduled work day
will be observed in lieu of the holiday unless another day is
designated by the General Manager.
Section 15.3-Certain designated employees may be required to
work on any of the above holidays or days observed in lieu of those
holidays. Any employee required to work on any of the above
holidays shall receive additional compensation equivalent to one
and one-half times his regular rate of pay, or have the option of
taking time off (not to exceed an accumulation of forty (40) hours
in lieu of pay - see Section 6.03). Any employee required to work
on any day observed in lieu of any of the above holidays shall re-
ceive additional compensation equivalent to his regular rate c-,%
pay. Employees in the job classes listed in Section 6.04 shall. Uti
exempt from the provisions of this Section.
Section j j,4-Any holidays falling on a Saturday or Sunday +v be
taken at a time designated by action of the General Manager cr

scheduled work day immediately preceding; the holiday or day ob-
served in lieu of the holiday and the regularly scheduled wc,rk day
immediately following the holiday or day observed in lieu of the
holiday. No employee who is on suspension or unpaid leave of
absence on either the regularly scheduled work day immediately
preceding or immediately following the holiday or day observed in
lieu of the holiday is eligible for holiday pay.

Please insert this in place of your old page 15 in your copy
of the Personnel Manual.
The holidays for 1971 will be as follows:
