Home My WebLink About1972-11-09 - Resolution No. 245RESOLUTION NO. :~'TS A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT MAKING APPLICATION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "ANNEXATION NO. 72-2", TO THE YOR13A LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT desires to initiate a proceeding for tine annexation to the district of certain uninhabited territory hereinafter described pursuant to the District Reorganization Act, beginning with section 56000 of the Government Code, and especially section 56261 thereof authorizing the LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION to approve such annexation without notice and hearing by the commission provided a resolution of applica- tion by the legislative body of the affected district is accompanied by proof that all owners of land within such territory have given their written consent -co such annexation; and WHEREAS, the written consent of all owners of said territory to be annexed to the YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT, known as ANNEXATION 72-2, is contained in Exhibit A to this application: NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT does hereby resolve and order as follows: That application is hereby made to the LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION OF ORANGE COUNTY for the annexation of certain uninhabited territory to the YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT. The exterior boundaries of such territory are described in Exhibit B and a map thereof is contained in Exhibit C; Joe That the LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION is request- ed to approve and authorize the Board of Directors of the YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT to annex such territory without notice and hearing by the Board of Directors and without an election, pursuant to Government Code Section 56261; That the reasons for this proposal are to provide water and sewer service to the said territory to be annexed; That the following are the affected cities, counties and districts: the County of Orange and the Yorba Linda County Water District. ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT, Orange County, State of California, at its regular meeting held on November 9, 1972.
