RESOLUTION NO. 11-10
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT
APPROVING THE BUDGETED POSITIONS
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2011/12 AND RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 10-17
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors adopted Resolution No. 10-09 on May 27, 2010 the
"Yorba Linda Water District Personnel Rules"; and
WHEREAS, the "Personnel Rules" direct that the number of Authorized Positions and
Salary Ranges are subject to approval by the Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors adopted Resolution No. 10-17 on June 24, 2010
approving authorized and budgeted positions for Fiscal Year 2010/11; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to adopt Budgeted Positions for
Fiscal Year 2011/12, as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and
rescind Resolution No. 10-17.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda
Water District as follows:
Section 1. The number of Budgeted Positions as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached
i, hereto is approved and adopted for Fiscal Year 2011/12.
Section 2. The General Manager is hereby authorized to employ up to the number of
employees budgeted and funded in each fiscal year without further
approval of the Board of Directors.
Section 3. The General Manager is hereby authorized to fill a budgeted position that
is vacated while this Resolution is active with a new employee at a lower
or equal classification. The General Manager is further authorized to fill a
budgeted position with a part time employee or contract staff.
Section 4. That Resolution No. 10-17 is hereby rescinded effective July 1, 2011.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of June 2011, by the following called vote:

During FY 2011/2012 the District will promote two (2) Maintenance Worker I positions that are
currently underfilling two (2) Maintenance Distribution Operator II positions. The District will increase
the Collections Division in the Operations Department by two (2) positions, one (1) Maintenance
Worker I and and one (1) Maintenance Distribution Operator 11.

Sr. Project Manager is a three year limited-term position.
Y
Interns - Two (2) intern positions have been budgeted for FY 2011-2012. The interns will be utilized
in the Public and Governmental Affairs division of the Administration department.
Z
GIS Tech is a part-time position.
