RESOLUTION NO. 74-14
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE YORBA LINDA COUNTY
WATER DISTRICT REGARDING WATER RATES
FOR TEMPORARY SERVICE
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County Water
District is responsible for setting and adjusting the rates for
water, and
WHEREAS, the water rates for temporary service under section 3.8
of the Rules and Regulations regarding the rendition of water
service have not been reviewed and changed since January 1, 19601P
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County Water
District have reviewed the water rates, revenues and needs of
the District, and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of
the Yorba Linda County Water District does hereby amend Section
3.8 of the Rules and Regulations of the Yorba Linda County Water
District to establish the water rates effective with all temporary
water service on and after September 12, 1974 as follows:
SECTION 3.8 - TEMPORARY SERVICE: Application shall be made to the
District for any temporary service desired by contractors and
builders for water to be used in construction work. Upon the
deposit of such sum as the District may require, a meter shall
be furnished for such service. The charges for such service
where the water is metered shall be charged at the regular comm-
ercial rates including minimums. If in the determination of the
District the setting of a meter is impracticable or uneconomical
for the supply of construction water, the charges for such un-
metered water shall be as follows:
1. For concrete curbs $1.60 per 100 lineal feet.
2. For settling trenches not exceeding 2 feet in width and
5 feet in depth $3.25 per 100 lineal feet.
3. For larger trenches a proportional charge shall be made
as estimated by the Manager of the Water District,
4. For concrete walks $.65 per 100 square feet.
5. For settling graded streets $.30 per 100 square feet.
6. For mixing and curing concrete $.40 per cubic yard.
7. For mixing and curing concrete by a patented process
$.20 per cubic yard.
8. For settling filled ground a charge will be made for a
quantity of water equal to one-third the cubic contents of the
fill at a rate of $0.56 per 100 cu. ft.
9. For miscellaneous uses not herein specified the quantity
shall be estimated by the Water District and charged at the rate
of $0.56 per 100 cu. ft.
Approved and adopted by the following roll call vote this 12th day
of September, 1974.
