HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-07-13 - Resolution No. 78-460 RESOLUTION NO. 78-if(0 r RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT AVENDING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County Water District amending the Rules and Regulations regarding fees, charges in Sections 3.1-C-2, c.1-C-3, 3.2-A, 3.2-B and Section 7.2. WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County !dater District is responsible for setting and adjusting the rates and charges for in- stallation of water lines, fire hydrants, water meters and service lines and related charges, and WHEREAS, the increased costs of materials and labor makes it necessary to amend sections 3.1-C-2, 3.1-C-3, 3.2-A, 3.2-B, also section 7.2. N014 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County Water District does hereby amend sections 3.1-C-2, 3.1-C-3, 3.2--A, 3.2-B, also section 7.2 of the Rules and Regulations of the Yorba Linda County Water District and establish the new rate effective July 13, 1978 except for pending applications which will be computed at the old rate if they are completed, including fees paid by August 31, 1978, to read as follows: Section 3.1-C-2 Irregular Parcel: Irregular shaped parcels shall be charged at the rates previously outlined in the Section 3.1 or $580.00 per acre of gross area including property to center line of streets, whichever is greater. Section 3.1-C.3 Minimum charge: Minimum charge shall be $580.00. Section 3.2-A Demand Service through Disc Meter: Meter and Service Line Size of Meter Rate 3/4" 180.00 1 " 250.00 1 760.00 2 1050.00 Meter only Service Line Existing 3/4 110.00 1 130.00 1 2 300.00 2 410.00 Service Connection Less Meter 3/4 140.00 1 200.00 1 2 " 680.00 2 935.00 A traffic box shall be required for meter settings in drives or parking lots and the charge for the box shall be added to the above amounts. Section 3.2-B Booked Services or Irrigation Meters: Booked services or irrigation meters shall be installed for a sum equal to the actual cost of labor and material in laying such service line, including the cost of the meters, the cost of replacing pavement, plus overhead. The cost of such installation shall be estimated by the District before the work of connecting the main with the property is commenced. Whenever the estimated cost is not sufficient to cover the total expense for labor material, meters and overhead, the deficit shall be charged to the pro- perty for which such installation was made and paid for by the owner thereof. Any excess payment shall be returned to the person applying for installation. Section 7.2 Charges: In the event such application is approved in the manner provided herein, said person shall pay to the District, cash in an amount determined by the District, to be the total cost of such mains and service, including all labor, pipe, valves, fittings, fire hydrants and appurtenances necessary for a complete system determined from the following cost: Water mains $ 15.50 Fire Hydrant $1300.00 APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the following roll call vote this day of So 1978.
