RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT
AMENDING RULE NO. 16 OF THE YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT PERSONNEL MANUEL
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 160 was adopted August 23, 1967 setting forth the
personnel policy of the District, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary from time to time to amend and update the policy;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE YORBA LINDA
COUNTY WATER DISTRICT that Rule No. 16 .010, 16.011 and 16.012 be amended eff-
ective with the December 31, 1978 accural as follows:
RULE 16. VACATION
SECTION 16.0 - Employees in the classified service shall receive annual
vacation with pay in accordance with the following provisions:
16.010 - Regular, full-time employees with an average regular work
week of forty (40) hours shall accrue paid vacation at the follow-
ing rate per year, or fraction thereof.

16.011 - Regular, part time employees with an average regular work
we ekof at least twenty (20) hours, but less than thirty (30) hours
shall accrue paid vacation at the following rate per year, or
fraction thereof.

16.012 - Regular, part- time employees with an average regular work
week of at least thirty (30) hours, but less than forty (40) hours
shall accrue paid vacation at the following rate per year, or
fraction thereof;
After 1 year through 3 years 60 hours or 7 1Z days
After 4 years through 14 years 90 hours or 11 days
After 15 years or more of service 120 hours or 15 days
16.02 - For vacation accrual the 31 st day of December shall be
considered the ending of the accrual year and all accruals for
the preceding 12 months or fraction of a year thereof shall be
credited to the employee at this time. Vacations accrued prior
to December 31 of any year may not be taken until after January
1 of the following year except by a waiver of this rule by the
General Manager.
16.03 - Paid vacations shall continue to accrue in accordance with
the above provisions during any period of leave with pay.
Approved and adopted this 22nd day of November , 1978 by the following called
vote: Ayes: Directors Knauft, Lindow, Korn and Cromwell. Noes, none. Absent
none. Abstain, Clodt.
