RESOLUTION NO. 82- 20
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER
DISTRICT AMENDING THE PERSONNEL RULES
WHEREAS, on May 8, 1980 by adoption of Resolution No. 80-11, the Board
of Directors of the Yorba Linda County Water District established
Personnel Rules of the District, and
WHEREAS, the Personnel Rules provide in Section 1.4.2 that the Rules may be
amended from time to time by the Board, and
WHEREAS, the Board has subsequently amended the Rules and desires to further
amend the Rules to make them consistant with the Memorandum Of
Understanding approved July 1, 1982,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors that Sections 8.4.3,
8.5.2 and 9.1.6 be amended to be as follows:
8.4.3 The following positions shall be exempt from the overtime
provisions. Compensatory time off (at the rate of straight
time) for overtime worked by employees in these job classes
may be authorized and administered by the General Manager
or the Board of Directors.
Assistant General Manager
Project Manager
Engineering Manager
Secretary
Operations Superintendent
Auditor
General Manager
8.5.2 Call-out Compensation
Call-out compensation shall be as follows:
(a) When an employee is called out for emergency or routine
work, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., the employee
shall be paid time and one-half base rate for two hours minimum.
(b) When an employee is called out between the hours of 5:00 p.m.
and 10:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday and the hours 6:00 a.m. and
10:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, the employee shall be paid time
and one-half base rate for one hour minimum.
(c) All emergency call-out time which exceeds one hour
shall be calculated to the nearest one-half hour of time worked.
9.1.6 Other regular employees except those listed in Section 8.4.3
and 9.1.5, if they are required to work on a holiday, shall
receive, in addition to the paid holiday, compensation equi-
valent to one and one-half times their regular rate of pay
for the time actually worked during a regularly scheduled
holiday. Such employees may in in the alternative receive
compensatory time off in accordance with Section 8.4.2.
