HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-12-12 - Resolution No. 85-350 • RESOLUTION NO. 85- 35 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT ADOPTING AN URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN in the semi-arid coastal plain of southern California it is that every reasonable measure be taken to manage precious imported water supplies; and WHEREAS, the Yorba Linda Water District (herein referred to as District) has completed an Urban Water Management Plan (herein referred to as Plan) pursuant to the requirements of the Urban Water Management Planning Act of 1983; and WHEREAS, the Plan is a general information document and complements the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and the Municipal Water District of Orange County regional plans; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the Plan is to provide a perspective and analysis of current and alternative water management activities of the District; and WHEREAS, the District's Plan will be periodically updated at least once every five years in accordance with Section 10621 of the Urban Water Management Planning Act and reflect changes in water supply trends and management policies in southern California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda Water District does hereby acknowledge the essential nature of water management within the District boundaries and adopts this Plan and will implement same in accordance with the law. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda Water District supports the water management efforts adopted by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and the Municipal Water District of Orange County in their regional plans.
