Home My WebLink About1996-10-24 - Resolution No. 96-140 0 RESOLUTION NO. 96-14 1 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT SETTING WATER RATES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996-97 BY RESCINDING SECTION 2 of RESOLUTION NO. 95-19 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda Water District are responsible for setting and adjusting the rate charged for water sold by the District; and WHEREAS, on June 22, 1995 the Board of Directors adopted the District's first ever two year Budget report and requested study to consider adopting water rates for two fiscal years; and, WHEREAS, on October 24, 1995, the Board of Directors held a public hearing, duly noticed pursuant to the Government Code, at which they accepted a staff report, titled "Water Rate Report for Fiscal Year 1995-96 and 1996-97", and adopted Resolution No. 95-19 which set water rates for fiscal years 1995-96 and 1996-97; and WHEREAS, the water rates set forth Sections 1 and 2 of Resolution No. 95-19 will to go into affect on the dates specified unless the Board determines that financial conditions have changed enough to warrant consideration of different rates; and WHEREAS, on October 10, 1996, the Board of Directors considered the changed financial conditions and water rate policies have changed enough to warrant consideration of different rates; and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors finds and determines that the present water rates as set forth in Section 1 of Resolution No. 95-19 shall remain in effect for fiscal year 1996-97. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda Water District that the water rate schedule set forth in Section 2 of Resolution No. 95-19 is hereby rescinded and shall not go into effect on the date specified in Resolution No. 95-19.
