SUBJECT: Summary Minutes of the Executive - Administrative Committee Meeting
The Executive - Administrative Committee held a meeting on October 18, 1999. Present were
Arthur C. Korn, Michael Beverage and William Robertson. The following items were discussed:
1. Earthquake Report. Mr. Robertson reported that staff members Mike Payne, Rick
Walkemeyer, John Brundahl, Diane Dalton and Lynn Nuzman responded to the October 16,
Hector Mine earthquake. All reservoir underdrain systems were visually inspected — no
leakage was found — and the only leak was on a landscape meter. The emergency operations
center was shut down at 5:30 a.m.
2. Expense Report. Mr. Robertson reviewed the expense report and noted the only change was
to add line items for the General Manager's credit card use and petty cash reimbursements.
Mr. Robertson also discussed how important it is for Directors to file an expense report for
conferences — expenses paid by the District are carried as an "account- receivable" until an
expense report is turned in.
3. Water Rates Hearing. Mr. Robertson reported the Board meeting to consider water rates is
scheduled for Tuesday, November 23, 1999, at the Yorba Linda Library.
4. Sanitation District Letter. The Committee discussed Mr. Robertson's letter to Don McIntyre,
Orange County Sanitation District, regarding when the original list was sent to the San.
District.
5. Assembly Bill 18. The Committee requested that Mr. Robertson contact Sacramento
Advocates to explore the possibility of public funding for parks provided in AB 18.
