HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-01-05 - Executive-Administration Committee Meeting Minutesr: AGENDA REPORT DATE: January 10, 2000 TO: President and Members of the Board FROM: Executive - Administrative Committee • ITEM NO, 11 SUBJECT: Summary Minutes of the Executive - Administrative Committee Meeting The Executive - Administrative Committee held a meeting on January 5, 2000. Present were Michael Beverage, Paul Armstrong, William Robertson and Michael Payne. Additionally, Mr. James Worthen attended the meeting to discuss his water bill. The following items were discussed: 1. Review letter from Mr. James Worthen regarding high water bills at his residence. Mr. Worthen presented his case regarding high water bills at his residence. The Committee held a lengthy discussion on the matter and requested that staff provide further information for the January 10, Board of Directors meeting. 2. Discussion of changes in Board Agenda and conduct during meetings. Mr. Robertson asked if the Board wanted to change their Rules for Organization and Procedure to include the issues presented by President Beverage a the December 21, Board meeting. The Committee didn't want to change the rules. Mr. Robertson requested that President Beverage present the list again at the January 10, 2000, Board meeting. 3. Review agenda for Curt Pringle presentation. The Committee discussed this matter at length and concluded that before Mr. Pringle made a presentation to the District, the District should decide if it supports or opposes Proposition 13. 4. The Committee also discussed the following: a. Mr. Robertson asked for clarification that Director Beverage will attend the first Planning Commission meeting and Director Armstrong will the second Planning Commission meeting each month. b. Converting the meter reading department memo into a newsletter item along with more frequent reports on other district activities. c. That District staff has contacted Placentia staff to advance the discussions of doing Placentia's sewer maintenance. d. Brief status report on the web site. � f _
