SUBJECT: Summary Minutes of the Executive - Administrative Committee Meeting
The Executive - Administrative Committee held a meeting on April 5, 2000. Present were
Michael Beverage, Paul Armstrong, William Robertson and Mike Payne. The following items
were discussed:
1. Secretary to the General Manager. The Committee discussed the position and offered advice
to staff. In addition, Mr. Robertson discussed his desire to replace the Executive Assistant
position at a high level instead of low level.
Mr. Payne left the meeting after discussion of this matter.
2. Status Report on JUSA discussion. Mr. Robertson briefed the Committee on a recent
meeting with Gus Searcy, JUSA representative. The Committee expressed a desire to
include other sports organizations in the discussions and when to involve the City recreation
department.
3. General Manager review process. The Committee discussed a review process for the General
Manager and reviewed a variety of forms used by other agencies. A layout was discussed.
The Committee will review another draft and present this matter to the full Board at the first
meeting in May.
