RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT
APPROVING THE NUMBER OF AUTHORIZED POSITIONS
FOR FISCAL 2001-02 AND 2002-03
AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 99-04 AND NO. 00-11
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda Water District has by Resolution adopted on
May 8, 1980 adopted the "Yorba Linda County Water District Personnel Rules"; and,
WHEREAS, the "Personnel Rules", as amended, directs that the number of Authorized Positions and
Salary Ranges are subject to approval by the Board of Directors, and,

WHEREAS, the Board has by Resolution No. 99-04 adopted on April 8, 1999, approved the number
of Authorized Positions; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 00-1 1 adopted on September 24, 2000 amended Resolution No. 99-04 to
add three positions bringing the total authorized positions to 59 employees; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to adopt Authorized Positions for Fiscal Years
2001-02 and 2002-03, as set forth in Exhibit "A" and "B" respectively as attached
hereto, and rescind Resolution No. 99-04 and Resolution No. 00-11.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda Water District
as follows:
Section 1. The number of Authorized Positions as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto is
approved and adopted for Fiscal Year 2001-02.
Section 2. The number of Authorized Positions as set forth in Exhibit "B" attached hereto is
approved and adopted for Fiscal Year 2002-03.
Section 3. The General Manager is hereby authorized to employ up to the number of employees
authorized in each fiscal year without further approval of the Board of Directors.
Section 4. The General Manager is hereby authorized to fill an authorized position that is vacated
while this Resolution is active with a new employee at a lower or equal classification.
Section 5. That Resolution No. 99-04, Resolution No. 00- 11, and all conflicting minute orders are
hereby rescinded effective on July 1, 2001.
