MINUTES OF THE
YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT
PERSONNEL-RISK MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
June 21, 2007
A meeting of the Yorba Linda Water District Personnel-Risk management Committee was called
to order by Committee Chairman John W. Summerfield at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was held at
the District Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda.
DIRECTORS PRESENT:
Chairman Director John W. Summerfield
Director Paul R. Armstrong
STAFF PRESENT:
Michael A. Payne, General Manager
Gina Knight, Human Resources Manager
VISITORS PRESENT:
None
ACTION ITEMS:
None.
STANDING ITEMS:
2. The committee reviewed and discussed the District's proposed staffing requirements for
the proposed 2007/08 and 2008/09 Budget. The Committee Directors recommended
staff present the proposed staffing requirements to the Board of Directors for approval.
3. Status report on risk management issues. Staff informed the committee about the
status of the Taylor vs. YLWD claim. The committee recommended staff discuss the
results of the Mediation Hearing with the Board of Directors on June 28, 2007 during
closed session.
INFORMATION ITEMS:
4. Staff informed the committee about the District's current recruitments and a plan to fill
some vacancies with part-time employees and/or contract staff.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Committee adjourned at 5:15 p.m. The next Personnel-Risk Management Committee
meeting is scheduled for July 9, 2007 at 4:00 pm at the Main Office.
