A meeting of the Public Information Committee was called to order by Committee Chair John
Summerfield at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the District Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive,
Yorba Linda.

ACTION ITEMS
1. Format of the 2005 YLWD Annual Report. The Committee discussed the format for the
upcoming report and provided direction to staff.
STANDING ITEMS
2. West Coast Magazine Articles. The Committee discussed the content for articles to be
submitted through January 2006 to this monthly publication.
3, Water Lines Articles. The Committee discussed the content of the upcoming edition of the
District's customer newsletter.
4. Water Bill messages. The Committee discussed content for informational messages on the
District's water bills.
INFORMATIONAL ITEMS
5. Public events activities:
a. American Cancer Society "Relay for Life. This event was held on August 12 and 13. The
District provided ice water and a cooling "mister" for participants.
b. Presentation to Bryant Ranch School summer students. Mike Robinson made a presentation
on water supply issues to students in grades 5,6,7 and 8 on August 16.
c. District Facilities Tour. The tour will be held on September 24 and will include a walking tour
of the Richfield Plant, a bus tour of selected District facilities and the Santa Ana River
groundwater recharge operation.
d. Placentia Heritage Days Parade. The District will participate in this event to be held on
October 8.
e. Yorba Linda Fiesta Days Parade and Street Faire. The District will participate in these
events to be held on October 29.
The committee adjourned at 5:03 p.m.
