HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-05-09 - Personnel-Risk Management Committee Meeting Minutes11 CIVI NU. `/Cm MINUTES OF THE YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT PERSONNEL-RISK MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE May 9, 2005 - 4:00 p.m. APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE YOflBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT MAY 26?0 BY- A meeting of the Personnel-Risk Management Committee was called to order by Committee Chair Collett at 4:05 p.m. The meeting was held at the District Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda. DIRECTORS PRESENT Ric Collette, Chair William R. Mills, Jr. STAFF PRESENT Ken Vecchiarelli, Assistant General Manager ALSO PRESENT Karen T. Meyers, Law Offices of Karen T. Meyers ACTION ITEMS None Committee chair Collett announced that the committee would go into closed session to discuss item no. 2 at 4:07 p.m. Attending the closed session were Committee Chair, Ric Collette and Director William R. Mills, Jr. Also attending were Ken Vecchiarelli, Assistant General Manager and Karen T. Meyers. General Counsel Kidman participated in the closed session discussions by way of telephone. CLOSED SESSION 2. Conference with Legal Counsel regarding pending litigation to which the District is a party. Justification for Closed Session is Government Code Section 54956.9 (b)) one case. RECONVENE IN OPEN SESSION CLOSED SESSION REPORT. There was no action taken in closed session. Assistant General Manager Ken Vecchiarelli and Karen T. Meyers left the meeting at 4:27 p.m. General Counsel Arthur G. Kidman disconnected the conference call. Michael A. Payne, General Manager entered the Committee meeting. STANDING ITEMS 3. Job Descriptions Update Michael Payne reported on the status of the updating of all of the job descriptions to comply with ADA requirements and the State of California Department of Health Services. The bargaining unit job descriptions would be furnished to the employees association for review. 4. Salarv Survev Michael Payne reported staff has received the Orange County Water Association salary survey and that a review is underway to determine comparisons of salaries and benefits with other agencies. Staff will provide a report at the next committee meeting. INFORMATION ITEMS 5. None The committee adjourned at 5:13 p.m.
