YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT AUG ~ 6 4 PERSONNEL-RISK MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE AUGUST 9, 2004 By ~ -:r . A meeting of the PERSONNEL-RISK MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE was called to order by William R. Mills at 4:15 p.m. The meeting was held at the District headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda. Directors present at Roll Call: William R. Mills Staff Present: Michael A. Payne, General Manager Pamela Pietras, Assistant Administrator 1. Liability Claims. Michael Payne provided a summary of the ACWA/JPIA Liability Program including the E-MOD/Premium calculation work sheet at July 30, 2004. The General Liability Insurance deposit premium for the policy year October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005 is $161,319 with a Retrospective Allocation Point (RAP) of $25,000 however, staff is looking into changing the RAP amount. The annual liability insurance deposit premiums are presented to the Board of Directors each August and staff will make a recommendation to the Board at the August 26, 2004 meeting. 2. Status of Recruitments. Pamela Pietras provided a status report on recruitments. The District currently has two employment opportunities for Accounting Assistant I and Plant Operator I or II. Future recruitments include Construction Inspector, Administrative Services Manager, Senior Information System Technician, Sewer Maintenance Supervisor, Plant Operator I, and Customer Service I. 3. Performance Evaluations. Michael Payne provided an update to the committee on the progress of updating the District's performance evaluations. July 21, 2004, Dave Larsen, Labor Attorney for the District provided a training session to all Managers and Supervisors on the topic of, "Legal Employee Performance Evaluations". Pamela Pietras is in the process of collecting examples of performance evaluations to review. The meeting adjourned at 5:15 p.m.
