ITEM NO. 7f APPROVED BY THE BOARO OF OIRECT01 OF THE YORBA LINQA WAFER DtSTRlCI ~ oc The October 13, 2004 meeting of the Yorba Linda Water District Building Ad Hoc Committee was called to order by Chairman Michael J. Beverage at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was held at District Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda. DIRECTORS PRESENT AT ROLL CALL Michael J. Beverage, Chairman John W. Summerfield ALSO PRESENT: Rachel Nelson, Gillis & Associates Jack Panichapan, Gillis & Associates STANDING ITEMS: STAFF PRESENT: Michael A. Payne, General Manager Kenneth Vecchiarelli, Assistant GM William Moorhead, Sr. Project Engineer Mike Robinson, Assistant Administrator Hank Samaripa, Project Engineer Lee Cory, Operations Manager Todd Howard (for Art Vega), Information Systems Admin. Sven Hermelin (for Stacy Bavol) Customer Service 1. Concert Dlan for the new administration building. Gillis & Associates presented a concept floor plan for the new administration building located off Miraloma Ave. The Committee discussed the details of this plan at length. 2. Order of magnitude construction cost. Gillis & Associates presented a preliminary order of magnitude cost estimate based on the latest building plan. The estimate included the building shell, site work and contingency factor. Staff presented additional costs that will need to be considered to complete the project. General Manager Payne stated that he will meet with department managers to discuss the details of the floor plan again before refining the layout and cost estimate. -1-
